After being featured on a couple of songs this year, Ghanaian ace singer and songwriter, Efya has announced her new banger which is set to be realised next month.

The song which is titled, “the one” is a collaboration between Efya and internationally recognised Nigerian singer who is highly admired as “Queen of afrobeats”, Tiwa Savage.

Interestingly, this is a huge collaboration that has been made to serve her fans and the public with a fierce melody during these discouraging times of the covid-19 pandemic to ease their body and soul from the fears.

Efya took to her social media platforms today, asking the public to watch the space as she drops her new song on the 5 thof June.

Fellow celebrities and fans across the world have expressed their joy with the two gigantic female artistes putting their beautiful voices in one music.

The team that helped with the production of the song, “the one” is known as Blaq Jerzee.

Efya is also known by her real name, Jane Awindor, is an alumna of the University of Ghana Legon with a first degree in theatre and music. The artiste officially gained public attention in 2008 when she competed in the first edition of the television reality show, stars of the future which she came out second.

Her recognition made her achieve numerous deals and mounted on robust platforms for more exposure.

Since 2008, Efya has produced hits songs and collaborated with colleagues like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Mr, Eazi, Mugeez, R2bees, Bisa Kdei, etc.

She won Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ Best Female Vocal Performance award for four consecutive times (2011- 2014) and a lot more.

In 2012, she was featured in Yvonne Nelson’s movie, Singles and Married. Some of her songs are, ‘Little Things’ ‘One of Your Own’, ‘Best in Me’, ‘Getaway’, ‘Forgetting Me’, ‘Life’, ‘Herself, and ‘Saara’. Efya has been consistent with her music profession and remains one of Ghana’s best female vocalist.

Highly noted as the queen of afrobeat, Nigerian artiste, Tiwa Savage felt her passion for music around 15 years when she and her family had relocated to the United Kingdom.

She started as a backup vocalist for American singer, Mary Jane Blige, Chaka Khan, Ms Dynamite and the late George Michael, a British singer.

Savage partook in the X-Factor television music reality show in the UK in 2006 and later attended the Berklee College of Music obtaining a certificate in professional music in 2007. She also holds a first-degree certificate in accounting at the University of Kent.
